Beschreibung der Spendenkampagne
(Description of the fundraising campaign, Englisch translation below)
Am 10.03.2021 wurde bei meiner Tochter (damals 17) DIGP diagnostiziert. Bei der aktuell gängigen Therapie (Bestrahlung in Kombination mit Chemotherapie) im Rahmen einer klinischen Studie kann bisher die Lebenserwartung und -qualität nicht signifikant beeinflusst werden. Diese liegt aktuell im Durchschnitt bei 9 Monaten nach Diagnosestellung.
Aktuell (29.09.2021) erhält sie die 5. Chemo-Einheit, die sie zum Glück kaum im Alltag einschränkt. Seit Juni bekommt sie in den Wochen zwischen der Chemotherapie das Medikament ONC201. Zusätzlich jede Menge Nahrungsergänzungsmittel und homöopathischen Heilmittel. Insgesamt benötigen wir rund 3.500 Euro pro Monat, um diese Kombinationen aus verschiedenen Präparaten weiter führen zu können.
Das Medikament Onc201 sowie die damit verbundenen Arztkosten sowie alle anderen Mittel und die Kosten für den Heilpraktiker werden nicht von der Krankenkasse übernommen. Daher sammel ich über diesen Weg Spenden, um meiner Tochter und uns als Familie etwas mehr Zeit gemeinsam ermöglichen zu können. Vanessa hat gerade körperlich eine gute Phase, sie ist absolut symptomfrei. Wir wissen nicht, was genau dazu führte, oder ob es die Mischung aus allem ist. Daher sind wir weiterhin auf Spenden angewiesen, um diesen Weg solange wie möglich gehen zu können.
Für was werden die Spenden genutzt?
– Alle Kosten der alternativen Therapien
– Finanzielle Absicherung der Brüder von Vanessa (13 und 15 Jahre alt), da Rücklagen bilden ab sofort nicht mehr möglich ist.
– Im Worst case: Rest der Spende geht weiter an eine Initiative, die sich für die Forschung DIPG einsetzt. Ich bin da z. B. auf DIPG – Fighter aus München gestoßen.

On March 10th, 2021 my daughter (17 at this time) was diagnosed with DIGP. With the currently common therapy (radiation in combination with chemotherapy) in the context of a clinical study, life expectancy and quality cannot be significantly influenced so far. This is currently an average of 9 months after diagnosis.
Currently (29.09.2021) she is receiving the 5th chemo unit, which luckily hardly restricts her in everyday life. Since June she has been receiving the drug ONC201 in the weeks between chemotherapy. In addition, loads of nutritional supplements and homeopathic remedies. We need a total of around 3,500 euros per month to be able to continue using these combinations of different preparations.

That’s why I use this way to collect donations in order to be able to give my daughter and us as a family a little more time together. Vanessa is currently in a good phase physically, she is absolutely symptom-free. We don’t know what exactly led to it, or if it’s the mix of everything. Therefore we are still dependent on donations in order to be able to go this way as long as possible.
What will the donations be used for?
– All costs of alternative therapies
– Financial security for Vanessa’s brothers (13 and 15 years old), since it is no longer possible to build up reserves from now on.
