Gestern erhielten wir das Ergebnis des Bluttestes: Leider hat Vanessa nicht den benötigten HLA-A Marker. Das bedeutet, dass sie nicht an der Immuntherapie-Studie in Zürich teilnehmen kann. Nun geht die Suche weiter nach einer für sich geeigneten alternativen Therapie. Ich habe ein paar Möglichkeiten noch als Plan B. Ob das klappt, wird sich in den nächsten 2-3 Wochen herausstellen, da unsere Ärztin im Urlaub ist.

In der ersten Woche zu Hause ist Vanessa in ihr neues Zimmer gezogen, wir haben das erste Mal gegrillt und den Pizzaofen angeschürt und ihren 18. Geburstag am 11. Mai gefeiert. Außerdem einen Abend am Lagerfeuer am ersten warmen Wochenende 2021 verbracht.

Bis auf die Nebenwirkungen im Magen-Darm-Bereich geht es ihr gut und sie bereitet sich gerade auf die Abschlussprüfungen vor.

The search continues

Yesterday we received the result of the blood test: Unfortunately Vanessa does not have the required HLA-A marker. This means that she cannot take part in the immunotherapy trail in Zurich. Now the search for a suitable alternative therapy continues. I still have a few options as plan B. Whether this will work will be found out in the next 2-3 weeks, since our doctor is on vacation.

In the first week at home, Vanessa moved into her new room, we had BBQ and Pizza from our Pizza oven for the first time in 2021 and celebrated her 18th birthday on May 11th. Also spent an evening around the campfire on the first warm weekend in 2021.

Except for the gastrointestinal side effects, she is fine and is currently preparing for the final exams at school.
